  1. What a lovely, lovely set of photos!! I’m also under the tutelage of Jedi Mistress Kate at the Midlands Art Centre and she mentioned your project. Absolutely stunning photos!! I don’t know if you’re still looking for more strangers with dogs but am very happy to volunteer. We have a springer spaniel and a sprollie (a collie/spaniel cross). Both getting on a bit, but aren’t we all!! I’m attaching a link to my own blog below so you can see the sorts of things I get up to at the MAC.

    Best regards,

    Simon

    1. Hey Simon, just had a look at your blog, great stuff there.
Thank you for your kind words, I’m having a lot of fun do this, my first and only, project. I’m currently at #93, so not many to go.
      Where are you based?
Your dog sounds lovely, I’ve got a Collie cross Dalmatian, and a little Beagle too.
I really wish I could get some tuition, thing is I teach guitar so evenings are taken up with that.
Anyway, please keep in touch and many thanks for visiting xx

      1. Hi Mandy, thanks very much for looking at my blog and I’m delighted you enjoyed it. We’re in Walsall, so quite close to you I suspect. We often walk the dogs along the canal and in the Arboreteum. Would you like to meet up some time? Would love to get in there before you reach a hundred!! Best regards, Simon

      2. His Simon, I think I’ve only three to go. It would be lovely to bump into you on the canal. As this project is built on chance meetings, then I guess if I bumped into you by chance then it would be fine. I’ll be cycling down the canal Saturday. Probably Sutton Road end passed the locks around 1.10-1.30pm. If you happen to be there then, i’ll be sure to stop you!

      3. Darn!! I’m taking my son to Villa Park then 😦 Perhaps another time! I think your project is fantastic and you’ve got a real eye for a great photo. Are you an artist by chance?

  2. Ahh that’s a shame! I’m kind of dragging my feet as I don’t want it to end. I got three more today.

Thank you for your kind words.
I’m a musician and teach guitar for a job. Love photography so much.
I shot a friend’s wedding in Florida this year. I’ve a couple of instagram accounts, Burty123m and 100strangersand their dogs.
I would love to have some tuition, I’m winging it really 😉

      1. I had a listen last night – very good! Are you still taking on students? Especially tone deaf ones with little sense of rhythm who have not picked up a guitar in over two decades ….

      2. Daytimes are much better for me, Tuesday in particular. I really am not musically talented but I love music with a passion, especially acoustic guitar. Old blues … Reverend Gary Davis, Mississippi John Hurt, Fred McDowell, Bukka White … and American Primitives .. Robbie Basho, John Fahey … and new wave Primitives … William Tyler, Chris Forsyth, Steve Gunn. How can we make contact? 🙂

      3. Hi Mandy, I haven’t had a bounce back so my message may have ended up in your spam box. If not, could you drop me an email with your phone number and I’ll give you a call. All the best, Simon
